If there’s one thing we have learnt here, it’s the huge role the weather plays in day to day decisions. Every morning begins with coffee and an obeisance to the weather gods. Windy is duly consulted, cold front progress checked and departure date and time accordingly adjusted. As of now, Friday morning 11:02am* is when we plan to cast off and make our way out of Portsmouth.
We are headed to Barbados, by way of Brest, maybe Coruna, Finisterre and maybe Cape Verde. But we will take it one stop at a time. As of now the weather window permits a dash to Brest, maybe Coruna, if the weather holds as we cross the Bay of Biscay.
Those of you who would like to track us, here’s a link that will enable you to stay with us every step of the way! That’s us in the Gosport Marina today, highlighted as ‘Robin’.
*11:00 am on November 11 is Armistice Day which honours armed forces members who have died in the line of duty
